What to Expect

Karya

Our journey begins in Karya, a picturesque mountain village rich in traditional Greek culture, charming stone houses, and lively squares. As we ride through its narrow streets, you’ll soak in the warm hospitality and admire the floral-adorned balconies. The Plateau of Karya, surrounded by olive groves, vineyards, and grazing sheep and goats, provides the perfect setting for a peaceful escape into nature.

Egklouvi

Next, we head to Egklouvi, one of Lefkada’s highest villages, famous for its high-quality lentils. Here, we take a well-deserved break under the shade of ancient plane trees in the main square, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of this mountain retreat.

Vafkeri

We continue to Vafkeri, a small and peaceful village nestled in the mountains. Take in the stunning panoramic views, capture amazing photos, and enjoy a short rest in the village square before we continue our journey.

Alexandros

Our next stop is Alexandros, a historic village that was completely abandoned in the 1950s but has recently been revived. This hidden gem is home to a century-old olive oil mill, offering a fascinating glimpse into the island’s agricultural past. A perfect spot for history lovers and photography enthusiasts!

Agios Ioannis Monastery

A scenic detour takes us to Agios Ioannis Monastery, perched on a hill with breathtaking mountain and sea views. We take a moment to explore the monastery’s ancient frescoes, embrace the spiritual ambience, and soak in the tranquillity of this sacred place.
